Job Summary: This position is responsible for setting up and operating shop machinery to fabricate metal or wood parts for products. Examples of shop machinery include, but is not limited to, saws, CNC routers, and edge banders. Brake Press Operators must be able to read and interpret specifications for parts or products and follow verbal instructions. Brake Press Operators are assigned to a specific area in the manufacturing plant but may also work with other departments. Brake Press Operators may perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements

Minimum - High School or GED
Minimum - 1 - 3 months related experience and/or training
Knowledge of machines used for metal or wood production, such as saws, CNC routers, and edge banders
Mechanically inclined; ability to work with shop machinery and basic hand tools
Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch
Ability to add and subtract fractions
Communicates well with others; speaks and writes clearly; asks for and offers help when needed

Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
