About The Position

Aegis Worldwide Press Brake Operator 2nd Shift (3pm-1:30am)/$23-$26/hr/CONTRACT-TO-HIRE New Castle, IN Overview: Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with an fabrication and laser cutting manufacturer.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; vocational or trade school education preferred.
• 3–5 years of brake press experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and other inspection devices.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team-based production environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow job travelers, tags, storage requirements, and electronic logging processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints to correctly set up and run programmed jobs.
• Operate and set up press area equipment, including presses, insertion equipment, finishing equipment, and spot-welding equipment.
• Inspect first-piece parts, establish inspection criteria, and verify tooling per the tooling list.
• Perform job setup, basic tooling adjustments, and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
