About The Position

The Press Brake Operator supports multiple departments on the shop floor, including Fabrication, Hardware Insertion, Assembly, and more. This position offers on-the-job and cross-training opportunities, working alongside experienced associates in a fast-paced, precision job shop environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of mechanical assembly or fabrication experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience performing setup and operation on CNC press brakes (not limited to operator-level work)
  • Strong print reading and interpretation skills
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
  • Competence in offset adjustments and part inspection
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, business software systems)
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull, and push throughout a 10-hour shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (average part weight 2–25 lbs.)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliable and dependable attendance
  • Ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Mechanically inclined with fine tactile ability
  • Substance-free, tobacco-free workplace
  • Must pass pre-employment screening and testing
  • Overtime may be required at times
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality standards preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup and operation of 85–250 ton CNC and ATC Amada and Toyokoki brakes
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications
  • Work within tight tolerances of +.005 and ½ degree
  • Measure and record part dimensions using calipers and micrometers
  • Adjust machine offsets and maintain quality standards
  • Assist with hardware insertion, finishing, and deburring tasks
  • Operate finishing equipment such as Fladder, hand grinders, and deburring tools
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment and assist other departments as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with ISO procedures and quality standards
