About The Position
The Press Brake Operator at Lancer Worldwide is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to fabricate and produce metal parts according to precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to follow detailed instructions to ensure quality production. The operator will set up press brake machines by installing and aligning tooling, adjusting machine settings, and programming controls according to job specifications. Operating the machinery involves bending, forming, and shaping metal parts based on blueprints, work orders, or CAD drawings. The operator must monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and precision throughout the production process. In addition to operating the press brake machinery, the operator will troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or operational issues that arise during production. Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines is crucial while operating the machinery. The role also includes assisting with training new operators or cross-training team members as needed, providing input on process improvements, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. The operator may also be required to operate additional machine shop equipment to prepare and perform secondary operations as needed, along with other duties as assigned by the Group Leader, Supervisor, or Department Manager.
