About The Position

Captive-Aire, a financially sound and growing metal fabricator of commercial kitchen ventilation systems, has an immediate opening for a Press Brake Machine Operator. This position is for a full-time Machinist running a Cincinnati machine. The scheduled working hours are Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm, with some overtime required. A satisfactory background check and negative drug screen are required.

Requirements

• Experience of 3 years or more required.
• Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school is preferred but not required.
• Additional training or experience is acceptable.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Cincinnati machine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely setting up and operating press brakes to form parts to print and process specifications.
• Inspecting parts using common tools such as calipers, micrometers, form gauges, height gauges, and protractors.
• Communicating with leadership about process problems and solutions.
• Working within a defined process to meet quality and time standards using existing work instructions.
• Following and updating production control three times throughout the shift or when job status changes.
• Continually working to refine processes to improve quality and reduce cycle times.
• Able to use power tools.
• Read factory orders.
• Accurately read tape measures.
• Can read engineering drawings.
• Utilize basic shop math.
• Ability to inspect product.
• Count and stack product.
• Accurately completing quality and administrative documents and following directions.
• Hard working & willing to excel in their profession.
• Can stand and move for an entire shift.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
