In this role, you’ll support the Press Operator in setting up, running, and maintaining Flexographic Print Press operations — ensuring every job meets safety, quality, and productivity standards in a team-oriented, world-class manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Ability to distinguish color (must pass color blindness test)
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow specifications
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for a 12 hour shift
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
  • Frequent use of wrist and hands
  • Frequent stepping up and down from platforms
  • Exposure to a noise level above 85 decibels

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience (flexographic or printing preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare inks, films, plates, gears, etc for scheduled job.
  • Enforce and follow all safety regulations and be a safety steward within the plant
  • Assist Press Operator in monitoring the film to ensure quality and productivity.
  • Assist operator in changing over jobs on the press.
  • Participate in the operation of the press with the ability to operate if needed.
  • Order and Charge Raw Materials to each job as needed.
  • Complete necessary daily paperwork.
  • Complete housekeeping logs.
  • To facilitate and enforce all of the company policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined.
  • Awareness of and adherence to all suitable and relevant health and safety policies.
  • Assure that all jobs are run in accordance to all written specifications including manufacturing specs, customer specs, print specs, color folders, and standard operating procedures.
  • Make sure all materials including inks, stock, cylinders, gears, cores and aniloxes are ready for next job.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
