About The Position

Rhinelander Printpack has an opening on shift for a Press Assistant. This position will be on the 12-hour shift schedule and report to the shift supervisor. Responsibilities

Preparing raw material rolls for printing
Placing rolls in machine and preparing for splicing
Assisting in removing rolls from rewind
Removing and weighing startup rolls at beginning of job
Filling and maintaining viscosity of all inks and varnishes
Filling and tending to all adhesives and cold seals as needed when working on PR01
Operating elevator safely during machine changeovers while swapping print cylinders, aniloxes, doctor blade chambers and ink pans.
Assisting operator in staging future jobs for pending changeovers
Daily housekeeping including upkeep of Food Safety and 5S standards on machines
Removal and disposal of trash from work area
Assisting operator in monitoring quality
Assisting operator in wide variety of tasks relating to maximizing productivity and quality
Carrying out machine crew Preventative Maintenance program tasks during scheduled PM sessions
