About The Position

The President will serve as the chief strategic and operational leader of a dynamic real estate investment and development company, responsible for setting the vision, driving growth, and ensuring exceptional execution across all aspects of the business. This executive will oversee investment strategy, deal sourcing, capital raising, development planning, and portfolio performance while building strong relationships with investors, partners, and community stakeholders. The President will cultivate a high-performing team, champion operational excellence, and guide the organization in delivering successful, high-quality projects that maximize returns and create lasting community value. This role requires a seasoned, entrepreneurial leader with deep industry expertise and the ability to scale a sophisticated, market-leading real estate platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field required.
  • 15–20+ years of progressive leadership experience in real estate investment, development, or a closely related sector.
  • Proven track record overseeing large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, or specialized development projects from conception through delivery.
  • Demonstrated success managing a diversified real estate investment portfolio and executing complex transactions.
  • Experience raising capital and managing relationships with institutional investors, lenders, and strategic partners.
  • Demonstrated success leading executive teams and scaling high-performing organizations.
  • Strong strategic planning, operational management, and organizational development skills.
  • Ability to cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Experience presenting to and partnering with Boards of Directors.
  • Deep understanding of real estate finance, investment underwriting, pro forma modeling, and deal structuring.
  • Strong command of financial statements, budgeting, cash flow management, and risk analysis.
  • Ability to evaluate market trends, economic drivers, and development feasibility with precision.
  • Established network of brokers, investors, lenders, public officials, contractors, architects, and industry partners.
  • Strong negotiation and dealmaking skills, with a track record of closing high-value transactions.
  • Ability to represent the company externally with credibility and influence.
  • Expertise leading entitlement processes, municipal approvals, design coordination, construction, and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, zoning, and environmental considerations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple development projects and investment initiatives simultaneously.
  • Visionary thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong appetite for growth.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to make decisive, data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Set the overall strategic direction for the company’s investment, development, and growth initiatives.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and steer the organization toward long-term, profitable expansion.
  • Lead annual and multi-year planning for portfolio performance, development pipeline, and capital allocation.
  • Oversee the sourcing, evaluation, underwriting, and structuring of real estate acquisitions and development projects.
  • Drive disciplined investment decision-making to maximize returns and manage risk.
  • Ensure rigorous financial modeling, due diligence, and project feasibility analyses.
  • Monitor performance of existing assets and optimize portfolio strategy.
  • Direct end-to-end development activities including planning, entitlement, design, construction, and delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and brand standards.
  • Build strong relationships with architects, contractors, municipalities, and consultants.
  • Lead capital-raising efforts, including equity partnerships, joint ventures, and lender relationships.
  • Maintain transparent, trusted communication with investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
  • Oversee financial reporting, investment presentations, and performance analyses.
  • Build and manage a high-performing organizational structure that supports efficient operations.
  • Establish and refine systems, processes, and metrics to enhance productivity and accountability.
  • Oversee corporate budgeting, financial management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor top talent across investment, development, finance, and operations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, integrity, and performance.
  • Set clear expectations, empower decision-making, and model executive leadership standards.
  • Expand the company’s brand presence and strengthen relationships with brokers, partners, public officials, and industry networks.
  • Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships, acquisitions, or new business lines.
  • Serve as the external face of the organization at industry events, conferences, and community engagements.
  • Ensure appropriate risk assessment across all investments, development activities, and operational decisions.
  • Provide guidance to the Board of Directors and support effective governance practices.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethical business conduct and regulatory compliance.
