About The Position

The President is responsible for providing the strategic leadership for Core Process Technologies (“CP Tech”) by working with the Board of Directors and management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. The President oversees company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service excellence, and the highest standards of safety and safety regulatory compliance, while maintaining cost-effective use of resources. This person reports directly to the CP Tech Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s, or advanced degree preferred
  • Extensive industry knowledge and experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in longshore industry training and labor relations
  • The ability to thrive as a self-starter in a fast-moving environment
  • Able to handle multiple projects and manage time effectively
  • This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work
  • Ability to communicate well and listen to others
  • Ability to travel to various locations encompassing both day trips and overnights when required

Responsibilities

  • Develops a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
  • Provides visible leadership in safety and mentor staff to achieve and sustain safety excellence.
  • Meets or exceeds safety performance metrics established by the Board of Directors and strategic partners.
  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates organization fiscal function and performance
  • Oversees company operations to insure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Represents CP Tech at strategic meetings and events.
  • Increases exposure of CP Tech in a positive manner to industry.
  • Approves company operational procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
  • Evaluates performance of staff for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
  • Presents company reports at all Board of Director meetings.
  • Develops a collaborative working relationship with Board members, trainers, labor, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Participates in the development of the company’s plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Enhances and/or develops, implements, and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company
  • Establishes credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Provides strategic input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization.
  • Identifies growth opportunities and direct implementation activities.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities as well as participating in professional organizations.
