About The Position

Bully Pulpit International is an outcomes agency made up of strategists, data scientists, and artists. We come from politics, brands, and government and we communicate without barriers and measure what matters. We have more than 350 team members in six countries and thirteen offices — Berlin, Brussels, Chicago, D.C., London, Los Angeles, New York, Oslo, San Francisco, and Zürich. We apply our unique expertise across strategic communications, public affairs, research, and digital marketing to create sophisticated and customized strategies that make change possible for both American and European clients. The Impact You Will Make We are an ambitious agency, quickly expanding team looking for a strategic Presentation Designer that can help us win business and compete on a global scale. We are not looking for a typical deck designer to simply clean up slides. Rather, we need a designer who can make presentations (and their underlying content) sing. You are an ambitious designer looking for the chance to help sell work to both the biggest brands in the world and the most important mission-driven organizations fighting for meaningful social change in the country. We are looking for a smart, strategic Presentation Designer who is more than just a presentation designer, a professional who can elevate our decks' content to sell and win pitches. This role requires the creativity and technical skills to produce expertly crafted work and the ability to tell compelling stories through design. You must be able to operate independently and efficiently. You will need to be a detail-driven, organized, high-level communicator capable of crafting visually compelling, narrative-driven presentations that help our company grow. The ideal candidate is not just a deck designer, but possesses a comprehensive understanding of design. Their responsibilities will include creating content for presentations including, but not limited to: layouts, motion, infographics, mockups, and other visual elements.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience as a designer, preferably with a focus on presentation design.
  • The ability to manage multiple presentation design projects in tandem.
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) as well as Google Slides, Google Docs, MS PowerPoint, Keynote, and MS Word.
  • A portfolio demonstrating winning examples of decks built from the ground up (e.g., took outline and copy and designed a deck full of content).
  • A proactive, independent, organized, and detail-oriented approach to their work with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great communication skills, able to participate in high-level creative brainstorms, understand the role of communications and marketing, and bring the agency's ideas to life.
  • The ability to bring new ideas to the table on how to best collaborate with multiple stakeholders to bring decks to life via new platforms, processes, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Create decks and new business presentations that effectively communicate strategy while simultaneously inspiring and influencing senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders, including C-Suite executives, to interpret and transform raw data into clear and compelling charts, graphs, icons, graphics, and other visual representations to convey information in an easily digestible format.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary information, clarify design requirements, and deliver effective solutions, ultimately helping bring big ideas to life in slide form—the core vehicle of business communications—to sell work.
  • Think creatively to make professional, aesthetically pleasing layouts while maintaining company brand identity standards.
  • Not only design decks, but help shape them by turning ideas into visual expressions which connect directly to strategy.

Benefits

  • BPI offers a wide range of benefits to U.S.-based employees, including 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program with employer match up to 4%, generous time off for vacation, $50 monthly phone reimbursement, unlimited sick time, and 16 weeks of paid leave for new parents. BPI’s benefits prioritize employee wellness and progressive support to our diverse workforce.
