Requirements

  • For Teachers: A mix of experience and education is required. Ideal candidates may have a CDA (Child Development Associate) or a Bachelor's degree in a related field, completed coursework in early childhood education, and 6-12 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
  • For Caregivers (Infant/Toddler Teachers): Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 12 college credits in early childhood or 30 hours of Infant/Toddler Development Training, and 12-24 months of experience with children under 36 months in a licensed childcare environment.
  • Assistant Teacher / Aides can join our team without professional experience. If you've worked as a Nanny, children's athletic coach, or volunteered in scouting or children's ministry, that experience will certainly help prepare you for this role! High School Diploma or GED required as well as a willingness to obtain training toward your CDA (provided!) or earning electives in Child Development.

Responsibilities

  • Creating a Safe Space: Ensure a safe and engaging environment where children can learn and grow.
  • Implementing Curriculum: Deliver age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
  • Supervising Activities: Oversee children's play and interactions to ensure safety and promote positive behavior.
  • Providing Hygiene and Care: Attend to children's hygiene needs, including diapering and toilet training, while teaching the importance of cleanliness.
  • Serving Meals and Nutrition: Help with meal and snack preparation and join children during meals to model good manners and engage in conversation.
  • Keeping Records: Track each child's progress, interests, and any areas of concern.
  • Communicating with Parents: Keep parents updated about their child's experiences and progress.
  • Collaborating with the Team: Work closely with your colleagues to achieve our shared goals.
