Requirements

  • Outgoing, creative, and energetic personality with excellent communication skills for engaging parents and children.
  • Previous experience in a licensed childcare center, specifically with children aged 3-5.
  • Knowledge of preschoolers’ social, emotional, and creative needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for program facilitation, child safety, and emergencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or progress toward one) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred.
  • Familiarity with preschool curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily classroom activities for a group of preschoolers.
  • Ensure compliance with all Primrose, local, state, and national regulations for child health, safety, and care.
  • Maintain an inviting, organized classroom that fosters creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making.
  • Provide clear expectations and positive reinforcement for children’s behavior.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties for the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
  • Attend required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
  • Uphold a professional appearance per the Primrose Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in additional capacities as directed by the Director or designee.
