Requirements

Minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Prior experience working with infants through preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
Strong knowledge of child development principles and early learning strategies tailored for infants to five-year-olds.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues.
Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Demonstrated patience, creativity, and empathy when working with young children and their families.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote children's development in all areas including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child's individual needs.
Observe and assess children's progress and development, maintaining accurate and confidential records to support ongoing learning plans.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth, milestones, and daily experiences, fostering strong partnerships.
Collaborate with other educators and staff members to maintain consistency and continuity in classroom routines and center policies.
Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and center protocols.
Support children's social-emotional development by modeling positive behavior, encouraging self-expression, and resolving conflicts constructively.
