About The Position

At The Learning Experience in Avon, CT, the mission is to create a happy, nurturing environment where children, families, and teachers grow together. They are looking for a caring, energetic Teacher to join their team and help young learners explore the world around them. The Learning Experience makes early education joyful, engaging, and fun, with a curriculum that focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development. This curriculum engages children in hands-on learning activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development, forming a foundation for kids to Learn, Play and Grow under the care of nurturing teachers and staff. They have created a full cast of characters that become the little learners' educators, partners, and friends throughout their preschool education journey, bringing learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of professional childcare or teaching experience
• High school diploma/GED required
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and infant milestones.
• A positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude!

Nice To Haves

• 1 year professional childcare or teaching experience preferred
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for infants.
• Implement our fun, hands-on L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to support early learning and development.
• Build strong relationships with families by sharing daily updates, photos, and milestones.
• Collaborate with other teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive and supportive workplace.
• Model best practices in early childhood education and help guide assistant teachers in the classroom.
• Ensure compliance with all Connecticut state licensing and safety standards.
