About The Position
The Learning Experience – Sterling is seeking a caring and dependable Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom of young learners in a structured, engaging early childhood environment. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys supporting school readiness, social development, and hands-on learning. Our preschool program focuses on building confidence, independence, and foundational academic skills through play-based instruction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Childcare, daycare, or preschool experience required
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Must meet Virginia childcare licensing and background requirements

- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead daily preschool classroom activities in a safe and nurturing environment
- Implement engaging lessons aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
- Support early literacy, math, and problem-solving skills
- Maintain structured routines and positive classroom management
- Observe and support children’s developmental progress
- Communicate regularly with families about milestones and classroom activities
- Maintain classroom organization and follow all Virginia licensing standards
