About The Position

Saint Rose School is seeking a full-time, preschool classroom teacher who is energetic, organized, a problem solver, and possesses great communication skills. This individual should be enthusiastic about the school's Catholic mission in the formation and education of children. They should be passionate for early childhood education and developing the academic and spiritual potentiality of each child.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience caring for children is required
• Experience with children in a classroom setting is desired
• Applicants must be 21 years old
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• You must be able to pass a background check and be fingerprinted

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Early Childhood Education License.
• Experience with Haggerty.
• Experience with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
• Experience with English Language Learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide a Christian witness for children in both private and public life consistent with Catholic faith and morals.
• Be able to provide formation for students in Christian virtue and Catholic practices such as being able to model and lead prayers.
• Design and follow a full schedule of activities, use suitable teaching material, and look for opportunities to teach from a Catholic Worldview.
• Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing, etc.) to enhance the child’s abilities.
• Collaborating and sharing responsibility in planning and delivering classroom activities as well as in supervision and care of students with a co-teacher.
• Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are progressing academically.
• Communicate with parents and update them on the progress of their children.
• Collaborate with other colleagues
