About The Position
The Learning Experience – Newark is seeking a Preschool Teacher with TECE I or TECE II credentials to join our early childhood education team. This role is ideal for educators who enjoy creating a structured, engaging, and play-based learning environment that supports school readiness and social development. Our preschool classrooms focus on consistency, positive guidance, and hands-on learning to help children build confidence, independence, and early academic skills.
Requirements
- TECE I or TECE II credential required
- Prior preschool or childcare classroom experience preferred
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet all Delaware childcare licensing and background requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead and support preschool classroom activities in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment
- Implement daily lessons aligned with The Learning Experience curriculum
- Guide children through learning centers, transitions, meals, and rest time
- Support social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and structured activities
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets health and safety standards
- Build strong relationships with families through daily communication
- Maintain compliance with Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing requirements and center policies
