About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team at The TreeHouse Growing and Learning Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher Assistant will support the implementation of age-appropriate curricula and foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements

• Experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is desirable.
• Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including math concepts for young learners.
• Experience in toddler care and understanding the unique needs of this age group is beneficial.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children aged 3-5 years.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain order and promote positive behavior among students.
• Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or requiring special education services.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development through reports and informal conversations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience across the preschool program.
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behavior, and any incidents that occur during school hours.
