Play & Learn Center in Fort Washington is looking for a part-time Afternoon Assistant to support our classrooms and provide a safe, nurturing environment for young learners. For over 36 years, Play & Learn has been a leader in early childhood education, creating environments where children thrive through play and discovery. Position Highlights Role: Afternoon Assistant Location: Play & Learn Center, Fort Washington, PA Hours: ~20 hours per week (afternoons) Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour (based on experience) Job Type: Part-time Additional hours may occasionally be available, depending on center needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of childcare experience
- Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about working with children
Nice To Haves
- CDA or credits in Early Childhood a plus!
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers in caring for children during afternoon hours
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Assist with transitions, activities, and routines
- Provide consistent supervision and positive interaction with children
