About The Position

As a Preschool Teacher Aide, you'll partner with the Classroom Teacher to: Develop and implement activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Support programming for children ages 3-5 in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards Ensure compliance with Wisconsin Child Care Licensing, City of Madison Accreditation, and Wisconsin YoungStar standards Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community members Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Support multicultural and diverse learning experiences Assist with daily classroom routines and specialized programming Work collaboratively under the direction of the Classroom Teacher

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in any field required
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, flexibility for varying schedules
  • Adult, Child, and Infant CPR within 6 months; basic first aid knowledge
  • Working with children ages 3-5, preferably in licensed childcare setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with low-income, multicultural families preferred
