To assist the Preschool Lead teacher in implementing goals and objectives as stated in Quality First Preschool Program. To work closely with preschool students on a regular basis to provide them with the physical, academic, and emotional support they need to gain the full benefit from instruction. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: May assist the student(s) with physical tasks such as dressing, feeding, and toileting. Assists students while attending special area classes (P.E., music, art, etc.). Under the supervision of a teacher, works one-on-one or with small groups of students to guide them through academic lessons and/or strengthen daily living skills. Understands the importance of confidentiality of all student information. Performs playground and/or lunch duty as assigned by the classroom teacher. Participates in any assigned trainings. Performs other assigned duties as required by supervisor.
