About The Position

The Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Preschool Paraprofessional for the Chelmsford Integrated Preschool (CHIPS) for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. This position is essential in providing support to preschool children, focusing on their academic, social, emotional, and physical development. The role involves working closely with students, either one-on-one or in small groups, to ensure they receive the necessary assistance to thrive in a school environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various disabilities and special education procedures, as well as experience in a classroom setting with age-appropriate students. As a Preschool Paraprofessional, you will be responsible for supporting students in multiple aspects of their school life. This includes assisting with physical needs such as toileting and diapering, as well as providing academic support and implementing accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers and related service providers. The role requires a commitment to following directions and collecting data consistently to track student progress. The Chelmsford Public Schools values a collaborative approach, and the successful candidate will work closely with teachers, special education coordinators, and the Director of Student Services to create a supportive learning environment for all students.
