About The Position

The Preschool Manager at Educare Lincoln is responsible for overseeing the preschool program, ensuring high-quality early childhood education for children aged 3 to 5 years. This role involves leadership, implementation of educational standards, and collaboration with families and staff to promote school readiness and compliance with relevant regulations. The manager will support the Educare School Director in fostering a positive environment and ensuring effective service delivery to children and their families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or related field required; master's preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education required.
  • Five or more years of experience in center-based ECE programs, Early Head Start, or Head Start required.
  • One or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background check that meets compliance standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with reflective supervision.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of program management and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective services to enrolled children and their families in accordance with HSPPS and Nebraska DHHS Childcare Licensing Regulations.
  • Support the Comprehensive Service Manager with managing the Child and Adult Care Food Program Regulations.
  • Engage with children and their families using family engagement principles.
  • Draft and revise program policies and procedures guiding service provision in the full day environment.
  • Build and maintain productive collaboration and communication with all staff to ensure full implementation of required policies and practices.
  • Ensure childcare licensing requirements are met.
  • Develop and facilitate an onboarding process and ongoing professional development.
  • Assist with monitoring and compliance regarding EHS and HS policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to ensure compliance with ERSEA regulations and approved practices.
  • Assist with and help plan needed trainings.
  • Maintain current understanding of all applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the School Director and leadership team to ensure consistent implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Report to the School Director all results of ongoing observations and monitoring in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations including the supervision of support staff.
  • Carry out hiring/terminating; training; ensuring divisional personnel have clear goals and objectives.
  • Assist with the development of responsibilities for volunteers and interns.
  • Ensure documentation of all program activities.
