About The Position

The Food Service Worker at Ridgeway Alliance Nursery School and Kindergarten is responsible for preparing and serving meals to preschool students. This part-time, contract position requires a dedicated individual who can efficiently manage food service tasks while ensuring a safe and clean environment for the children.

Requirements

• Previous food service experience is preferred.
• Ability to interact in a friendly and efficient manner with staff and students.
• Must be a team player with a positive and upbeat attitude.
• Ability to relay concerns and relevant information to the Director.
• Assure compliance with all safety requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Stock food and food-related items in the kitchen, ensuring proper storage and safety procedures are followed.
• Prepare food by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Assemble meals for preschool students.
• Deliver and retrieve food trays and paper goods to and from the lunchroom.
• Clean pots, pans, and utensils used in meal preparation.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the food service area during and after service.
• Prep food for the week when necessary.
• Adhere to restrictions for children with food allergies.
