About The Position

The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a Christ-centered classroom environment and ensuring students continue their learning in the absence of the regular teacher. Duties include following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a safe and orderly environment.

Requirements

• Christian by profession and lifestyle, and a member of a local church in good standing.
• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Basic knowledge of G Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
• Flexibility in availability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the teacher’s lesson plans and maintain the classroom environment.
• Model Christ-like behavior and promote students' spiritual growth.
• Ensure the classroom is neat, organized, and safe for students.
• Take attendance and report any concerns about student safety or well-being.
• Supervise students during transitions and ensure their safety at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student, parent, and staff information.
• Participate in emergency drills and report safety concerns to the appropriate individuals.
