About The Position

The Preschool Educational Assistant will support the educational process at Kilmer Elementary School by assisting the teacher in providing interventions for students to meet their academic, educational, and social goals. The role requires a patient, flexible, and collaborative individual who can communicate effectively with both teachers and students. The position involves daily responsibilities such as lunch, restroom, and bus coverage, and may require outdoor work and standing for long periods.

Requirements

• 48 College Credits or an Associate's Degree or passed the State Title I Paraprofessional Test.
• Excellent communication skills with teachers and students.
• Ability to be patient, flexible, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in providing interventions for students to meet academic, educational, and social goals.
• Provide lunch, restroom, and bus coverage daily.
• Work outdoors and stand for long periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Perform diapering and toileting responsibilities when required.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $20.00 per hour.
