About The Position

The position involves participating in the identification of eligible students by completing intake assessments and required documentation, including Evaluation Report and Individualized Education Program development, to maintain compliance with state and federal child find regulations. The role requires implementing individual, group, and/or classroom speech therapy services in accordance with the child’s Individualized Education Program to meet the needs of students across a variety of settings. Additionally, the position represents and promotes the AIU and Preschool Early Intervention by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain relationships that effectively support families and advance student outcomes. The individual will maintain required paperwork within timelines including Reevaluation Report, Individualized Education Program, progress monitoring, and other supporting documentation for each student on identified caseload to ensure student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. The role also involves creating and maintaining a caseload schedule throughout an assigned region to ensure efficient and consistent service delivery per the Individualized Education Program. The individual must remain current with new and effective practices, program procedures, laws, and regulations by attending professional development to comply with Preschool Early Intervention program requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid PA certification in Speech Language Impaired K-12 required.
  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or a Clinical Fellow candidate who has passed the ASHA exam required.
  • Ability to travel throughout the county required.
  • Ability to comply with the AIU Conduct policy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with individuals and teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and handle multiple initiatives.
  • Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, and responsible.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
