About The Position

The Preschool Director at Abundant Living Family Church is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Abundant Preschool of Learning, ensuring compliance with state regulations and maintaining high standards of excellence in childcare and education. This role involves managing the curriculum, finances, personnel, and marketing efforts while promoting a positive image of the facility and fostering strong relationships with families and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, a passion for early childhood education, and a commitment to the values of the church.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • 4-6 years of work experience as an Early Childhood Educator.
  • Possession of a California Child Development Permit (Site Supervisor or higher).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing finances and budgets.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in any field (preferred in Child Development or Early Childhood Education).
  • Knowledge of Teaching Strategies' The Creative Curriculum®.
  • Possession of a California Child Development Director Permit.
  • Experience with Early Childhood Educational Rating Scale (ECERS).
  • Completion of 21 hours of professional growth annually.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in accordance with state licensing regulations and operating policies.
  • Manage Christian curriculum and ensure high standards of excellence in education.
  • Market the preschool program to promote strong enrollment.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget and financial records.
  • Maintain personnel records and operational procedures for the preschool.
  • Establish communication with parents regarding enrollment, progress, and concerns.
  • Conduct student assessments and monitor the effectiveness of the enrollment process.
  • Implement staff development training and team-building activities.
  • Ensure compliance with California Licensing Title 22 regulations.
  • Promote a positive environment demonstrating mutual respect among staff.
