About The Position

The Learning Experience – Sterling is seeking a reliable and organized Preschool Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in our early childhood program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured kitchen environment while supporting the health and well-being of young children.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience required
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

• Food handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to established menus
• Ensure all meals meet nutritional guidelines for young children
• Maintain awareness of food allergies and dietary restrictions
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations
• Manage food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
• Communicate with center leadership regarding kitchen needs
