About The Position

The Preschool/Childcare Assistant Teacher at Temple Children's Academy is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the personal care, hygiene, learning activities, and positive guidance of young children. This role involves maintaining classroom records, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and communicating daily with parents about their children's progress. The Assistant Teacher will supervise classroom activities and keep the director informed about relevant issues regarding staff, children, families, and the overall program.

Requirements

• Meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
• Previous work experience in a childcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, and run.
• Ability to lift and carry children.
• Effective communication skills with children and parents.
• Maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate children's personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and implement learning activities and specialized programs.
• Maintain classroom records and developmental checklists.
• Ensure classrooms and play areas are clean and safe.
• Inform parents of their children's progress on a daily basis.
