About The Position

Spring Education Group's Early Childhood Education Division includes nearly 150 schools offering services from infant care through Pre-K/K programs, as well as summer camp and after-school programs. Our locations span a nationwide geographic footprint and a diverse array of pedagogical approaches — including our proprietary Links to Learning curriculum that draws from the collective expertise of renowned early-age educators such as Dewey, Piaget and Vygotsky; Montessori schools that embrace both accredited Montessori methods - AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) and AMS (American Montessori Society); and progressive language immersion programs in Mandarin and Spanish. Bethesda Country Day School is seeking a creative and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team of dedicated educators! Our preschool program provides a balance of learning and play, helping children build the academic and social skills that prepare them for Pre-K and beyond. As a Preschool Teacher, you'll inspire curiosity, nurture confidence, and create meaningful learning experiences that make every day exciting and purposeful for young learners.

Requirements

  • Personnel Qualification Evaluation (PQE) w/supporting documents
  • Child Development Associate (CDA)
  • HS diploma or Degree (Associate or Bachelor) Need diploma/certificate and/or transcripts
  • If documents are foreign, they must be translated, notarized, and evaluated by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or World Education Services (WES)
  • If documents are foreign but in English Language, they must be evaluated by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or World Education Services (WES)
  • If degree is not in Early Childhood Education, but has completed the ECE 90-hr, with 1-yr experience, they might qualify.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) 90-hr Preschool, or 90-hr School Age, or both
  • 9-hr Communication (of college course)
  • American with Disabilities Act Training (ADA)
  • 2-years of work experience (at least 1-yr)
  • Letter of work experience must note: Start/End Date, hours per week, ages of children.
  • Basic Health & Safety Training

  • CPR & First Aid
  • Medication Administration Training
  • Emergency Preparedness Plan
  • Level of Credentials (they might be expired, but they are acceptable)
  • Director's Training
