As a Food Service Manager, you will manage all aspects of the school kitchen and ensure the safety and cleanliness of the kitchen. The Food Service Manager also prepares healthy meals and/or snacks for our students.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a school or childcare setting.
Ability to meet state specific requirements for Safe-Serve and food service operations.
Strong understanding of food safety, nutrition, and kitchen sanitation practices.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Must be dependable, organized, and passionate about serving children.

Responsibilities

Create menus, order food, prepare meals and deliver meals to other locations.
Order products on a regular schedule to eliminate out of stock items such as food, paper goods, cleaning supplies and snacks, as well as process inventory of all kitchen items.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all food preparation areas, food containers, refrigerators, and freezers.
Maintain the highest level of sanitation and be responsible for the inspection with the health department.
Other duties, as assigned.
