PRESCHOOL- ASSISTANT TEACHER

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work hand-in-hand with our teaching staff to create joyful experiences and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old (16-17 years old permitted with completion of DPI course)
- Must meet Wisconsin state licensing requirements for Assistant Teacher (minimum certification)
- Ability to provide proof of current CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience working with children
- Willingness to learn and follow state child care licensing regulations and procedures for Group Day Care Centers
- Ability to work cooperatively with children, parents, staff, and community organizations
- Demonstrated joy and satisfaction in working with children
- Ability to work effectively under general supervision
- Must pass a background check in compliance with Wisconsin state law (no disqualifying offenses)
Responsibilities
- Foster a safe, nurturing space where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged
- Assist with daily routines and individual care in a patient and respectful manner
- Help plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities that spark creativity and learning
- Support diapering, toilet training, and restroom routines with kindness and professionalism
- Assist in preparing and serving snacks and meals
- Supervise and engage with children during special events and field trips
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
