About The Position

Waianae $500 New Hire Bonus • Part-Time & Full-Time Pay & Growth Opportunity Pay: $17–$18.50 per hour Grow with Us: This role is a great entry point into early childhood education. Kama‘āina Kids supports and covers the cost of your CDA (Child Development Associate), helping you grow into a Preschool Teacher role. Once qualified, teachers can earn $19–$25 per hour, with continued opportunities for advancement. As a Preschool Aide, you’ll support our teaching team across classrooms—helping create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for our keiki. Requirements

  • A genuine love for working with young children
  • At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Reliable, positive, and ready to jump in where needed
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with children (babysitting, parenting, tutoring, coaching, or volunteering) is a plus—but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with hands-on activities like art, music, and outdoor play
  • Supporting daily routines (snack time, transitions, clean-up)
  • Helping children feel safe, engaged, and included
  • Stepping into different classrooms as needed to support the team
  • Building positive relationships with children and coworkers
