About The Position

In this vital role, you will support the Director and Owner with day-to-day operations, front desk management, and school-wide coordination to help create a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for children, families, and staff. Requirements

  • Must meet California State Licensing requirements: 12 ECE units, including Infant/Toddler Development and 3 Administrative Units.
  • AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a preschool, early education, or administrative role.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Friendly, proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director and Owner with operational and administrative duties to ensure smooth daily functioning of the school.
  • Serve as the friendly and professional face of the school at the front desk, supporting families, visitors, and staff.
  • Help with school opening and/or closing procedures as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date and organized records in compliance with California state licensing regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with families and staff to promote strong relationships and positive school experiences.
  • Coordinate teacher and classroom needs including supplies, scheduling, and communication.
  • Assist with family tours, enrollment, orientation, and admissions to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Monitor and support compliance with all local, state, and federal early education standards.
  • Help nurture a positive, inclusive school culture that values diversity and teamwork.
  • Step in where needed to support classrooms or operational needs — flexibility and collaboration are key!
