About The Position

Wise is a global technology company focused on making international money movement and management easier and more affordable. Wise Platform, a startup within Wise, helps banks, software companies, and large enterprises integrate Wise's payment infrastructure into their own channels. The company is looking for a Pre-sales Consultant to join its New York team. This role is crucial for winning sales opportunities by solving complex partner problems and contributing to the pre-sales function in North America. The consultant will work closely with product, sales, and delivery teams to design efficient and high-quality solutions. Success in this role depends on understanding customer requirements, showcasing the Wise Platform value proposition, and building trust with decision-makers. The Pre-sales Consultant will apply expertise and product knowledge to design scalable payment solutions for prospective partners, navigate complex sales cycles, deliver product demos, and lead solution presentations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in both business and technical contexts, earning trust from executive and engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a pre-sales or sales engineering role engaged in enterprise technology sales (preferably in fintech / payments).
  • Proven track record achieving commercial targets by leveraging consultative and solution-based sales skills.
  • You put the customer first, finding ways to leverage our products to solve customer problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Experience in effective collaboration within or alongside complex enterprise customers, demonstrating a strong grasp of their challenges and needs.
  • You understand the value of balancing customer centric thinking and have experience communicating customer requirements to internal Product teams.
  • Experience with REST APIs and payments, especially in the context of technical sales and solution design.

Responsibilities

  • Present our products and vision to executives & technical teams at FinTechs and strategic enterprise partners. Become their trusted advisor.
  • Be accountable to drive revenue alongside the business development team, being a key stakeholder in the sales process from discovery and solution design through to implementation kickoff.
  • Utilize a deep understanding of Wise Platform products and the payments domain to tailor solutions for partners, finding a match between our technology and their requirements.
  • Work on sales collateral, demos, proof of concepts, RFPs, and any other material to help get potential deals over the line.
  • Ensure the viability of solutions by testing and documenting an end to end solution.
  • Share customer feedback to the product teams in Wise Platform to drive roadmaps in order to create more opportunities for growth.
  • Scope and design payments partnerships with the world’s biggest fintechs and enterprises.
  • Help define the pre-sales team vision and strategy as we scale it across the globe.
  • Act as the voice of our customers to influence roadmaps and feature prioritisation, continuously improving Wise Platforms’ products and positioning in the market.
  • Travel to work with our teams and meet with prospects around the world.
