Our DraftSight team is looking for a Pre-Sales Application Engineer. The preferred location for this position is Waltham, MA, but is flexible. The DraftSight Pre-Sales Application Engineer will support sales teams by being ready to pitch, demo, and promote adoption of our DraftSight desktop and cloud platform solutions in any medium. Leveraging your expertise in technical sales and technical marketing, you will be able to develop a deep knowledge of a vast CAD/PLM/CAE portfolio in order to help our clients imagine new products for a more sustainable world.

  • Support Sales and Marketing campaigns that are critical to the success of the DraftSight business in North America.
  • Participate in or lead pre-sales activities including but not limited to qualification, discovery, solution engineering, solution demonstration, and collaborating with post-sales services teams.
  • Balance multiple assignments simultaneously while working with multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Create and deliver client-facing technical demonstrations, demo videos, demo datasets, webinars, conference presentations, best practices, and live streams.
  • Support the NAM Sales team by pitching, demoing, and promoting the adoption of DraftSight.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Biomedical) or Architecture/Construction highly preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in technical sales or technical marketing in the software industry.
  • Technical Experience with one of the following: 2D CAD, AutoCAD, 3D CAD, PDM, PLM software solutions and portfolios.
  • Exceptional live and virtual presentation skills.
  • Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal).
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking Skills.
  • Time Management/Organizational Skills.
  • Cultural Knowledge and Sensitivity.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Ability to speak French and/or Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in pre-sales activities and collaborating with post-sales.
