About The Position

The Prepress Supervisor will lead and manage the Neenah Prepress team, ensuring efficient workflow, technology integration, and alignment with organizational standards. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving process improvements, and supporting the transition of digital development into production. The supervisor will play a critical role in optimizing labor planning, maintaining technology infrastructure, and fostering team engagement.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications, Printing Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in prepress operations, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in prepress software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD tools).
  • Understanding of color management, file preparation, and print production workflows.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Neenah Prepress department employees.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Run team huddles; communicate priorities, risks, and updates.
  • Manage prepress workflow to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Oversee production scheduling and resource allocation for optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain and enforce standards for file preparation, color management, and proofing.
  • Coach operators; document performance notes; conduct on-the-job training (OJT).
  • Manage communication between employees and customers to support efficient operations.
  • Support technology upgrades and infrastructure improvements across Neenah and York.
  • Collaborate with the Prepress Technology Team to implement automation and best practices.
  • Facilitate the transfer of digital technology development to operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align prepress capabilities with business needs.
  • Monitor KPIs and report performance metrics to leadership.
  • Work closely with the Prepress/Digital Manager and other site supervisors to ensure consistency.
  • Participate in strategic planning for technology and labor optimization.
