About The Position
Witt O'Brien's is a growing consulting firm in need of a dynamic emergency management professional to support our Readiness & Resilience Practice. Our part-time preparedness team is available on an on-call basis to augment our consulting, planning, resilience, and response efforts. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as a capable writer and communicator. These positions are responsible for applying professional and academic knowledge and ability to the public safety and preparedness arena for various clients. Our team must be highly professional and able to handle a broad variety of tasks with a high degree of independence and sound judgment and be able to work with other project team members, frequently in a virtual environment. The individuals in these positions fill a high-profile role that impacts on the company as we continue to grow and solidify ourselves as the leader in our industry. Our readiness and resilience team supports public sector emergency management, public safety, public health, climate resiliency, organizational development, and other governmental consulting across the nation and even globally. We are looking for self-motivated, responsible, and confident leaders with a commitment to integrity and the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with stakeholders at every level of the organization. Members of our team have the potential to be deployed on their own and as part of a team for extended periods of time with minimal direct oversight.
