Prepack Machine Operator

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for set up and operating prepackaging line and, bringing in proper packaging material and changing film rolls. Must ensure accurate completion of checklists including visual inspections of all equipment for cleanliness and foreign material contacting management as needed. Must be willing to accept responsibility and accountability for ensuring that proper procedures are followed. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Employee must become proficient in the operation of the prepackaging line, and box former machine. Employee must be able to operate prepack machine with automated control system. Employee must be able to change the film roll without complications. Employee will be responsible for making minor adjustments to machinery as needed for production runs. Employee will ensure that everyone is working in a safely manor. Employee must be trained on using a power jack to move refers.
Requirements
- High School/GED
- Production experience
- All employees are required to be in full uniform to include bouffant cap, beard cover (as applicable), safety glasses and gloves.
- Hearing protection is required.
- Employee schedules will be 6:00am – Downtime and as required by the production department.
- All employees are required to attend weekly safety meetings and will receive Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training specific to their job function as per the HACCP/GMP Manual.
