About The Position
The position is responsible for assisting customers and providing technical support in prepping equipment, ensuring that all working functions of the prep floor, prep rooms, inventory storage, darkrooms, and any prep-related areas are maintained. The individual will pull and perform pre-prep quality checks of equipment prior to customer arrivals, addressing intercompany equipment transfers daily and expediting all time-sensitive orders, including emergency, air freight, UPS, Fed-Ex, and am/pm runs. It is crucial to inform the manager of any prep-related issues, such as equipment shortages, before customers arrive. In addition to these responsibilities, the role involves providing direct technical support and customer service on Panavision equipment, fielding technical calls regarding equipment functions and specifications, and physically delivering equipment to and from departments. The employee must maintain a neat and organized prep area in accordance with Panavision's health and safety standards, upholding and following safety guidelines and precautions to prevent injuries and accidents. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role.
