Prep/Line Cooks
About The Position
We are seeking Prep/Line Cooks for Lunch and Dinner shifts to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen. Crackin’ Kitchen is like no other of it’s kind, offering a new-style of Hawaiian-Cajun seafood. The inspiration with the surrounding atmosphere has created this new cuisine that has a symbiotic relationship between the food, ocean, and the people. Crackin’ Kitchen’s signature menu allows the exotic flavor profiles to be complimented in every bite. Our menu consists of Cajun cuisine infused with the spirit of Hawaii. Our signature flavors are all natural and sourced locally providing a feast for the senses. The soul of our cuisines is found in its sauces using Hawaiian grown ingredients. We provide a family fun atmosphere where eating with your hands, sharing food and drinks, and having a good time is part of the Crackin’ Kitchen experience!
Requirements
- Previous experience in high-volume cooking in a commercial-grade kitchen, culinary arts, or other related fields
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in teams
Responsibilities
- Prepare all food, as orders are generated with additional accommodations described on the tickets
- Plan food production to coordinate with all meal periods
- Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
- Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
- Willingness and ability to follow directions issued by restaurant leadership.
