About The Position

We are looking for a Part-Time time Prep/Line Cook to support our kitchen team and help grow our wine-friendly food offerings. This position is ideal for someone with solid kitchen experience who’s ready to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.. This position is ideally suited to a cook interested in taking a next step in their culinary journey. As a Prep/Line Cook at Pali Wine Co. Outpost - Anaheim, your job includes all culinary activities with a focus on prep work and will include but not be held to the following duties: Efficient work with kitchen staff in all culinary activities primarily prep work. Create daily preparation lists. Monitor food inventory and ensure sufficient on-hand supplies. Complete all daily prep tasks: chopping, portioning, marinating, and assembling ingredients Follow recipes and portion guidelines with consistency and accuracy Assist with basic cooking during service (plating, assembling, warming, etc.) Ensure promptness, freshness and quality of dishes. Maintain a clean and organized prep station and kitchen environment at all times Label, date, and store food properly to ensure freshness and reduce waste Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries Communicate with the GM and team about prep levels and inventory needs Support special events and wine club dinners with advance prep Follow all food safety and sanitation standards at all times Maintain equipment required for kitchen team to prepare food with GM Maintain safe practices at all times Manage all waste Ensure optimal level of food quality and ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • 1+ year of kitchen prep or line experience
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable with a flexible, event-driven schedule
  • Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (cases of wine, food supplies)
  • Reliable, organized, and a team player
