Job Purpose: - The Prep Lead at Q39 LLC INC is responsible for overseeing the preparation of ingredients and dishes in the kitchen to ensure quality and efficiency. This role is crucial in maintaining the standards of food preparation and presentation, contributing to the overall success of the culinary team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary or hospitality-related education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a team in a fast-paced food preparation setting.
  • Experience with inventory management and ordering supplies.
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared according to the recipe and quality standards set by the company.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.
  • Train and mentor new kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing kitchen staff to optimize productivity and efficiency.
