About The Position

Summary: Prepare pump units to be painted, re-assemble units, assist painting units, and prepare pump units for shipment.

Follow instructions from Supervisors and Painters.
Wash, sand and prep frames.
Clean frames, prep engines and units for painting.
Apply protective coverings, such as masking tape to areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes.
After unit is painted, remove tape and paper, reassemble units, touch up paint and high lite areas of importance with contrasting paint.
Reinstall all components (after touchup) which were removed, apply the appropriate labels, decals and nameplates in a straight and proper order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Basic math skills
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring devices
• Must be able to read and understand Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc. Employee Handbook
• Entry Level - Training Provided
