About The Position

New Store Opening! Are you organized, reliable, and passionate about food? The Coborn’s Global Table team is looking for a Prep Cook who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep a fast-paced kitchen running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in preparation, cleanliness, and teamwork—and wants to be part of creating great food every day. In this position, you will prepare ingredients and support the kitchen to ensure efficient and high-quality food production. You will help simplify the cooking process for line cooks and chefs by preparing ingredients in advance, maintaining an organized and sanitary workspace, and ensuring that all components are ready for timely service.

Responsibilities

Wash, peel, chop, slice, dice, and portion fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients for daily menu production
Accurately prepare sauces, dressings, and other items according to recipes and chef instructions
Execute prep tasks using detailed prep lists to ensure all stations are fully stocked and service-ready
Use proper measuring techniques to ensure consistency and portion control
Set up and maintain prep and cooking stations with the necessary tools, equipment, and ingredients
Keep all prep areas clean, organized, and sanitized while strictly following food safety standards
Properly store ingredients, rotate stock, and assist with monitoring inventory to reduce waste
Support line cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth and timely service
