About The Position

The Prep Cook at Air Culinaire Worldwide, LLC is responsible for the quality and preparation of food ingredients, ensuring culinary excellence in catering orders. This role involves working closely with kitchen staff to prepare hot and cold foods according to established recipes and specifications, while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. The Prep Cook is a key team player, supporting culinary initiatives and ensuring that all food preparations meet the company's quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Culinary experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering, or equivalent experience required.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handling Certificate required at hire or within 45 days of hire.
  • Ability to take orders and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated to assist in food preparation and presentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in new culinary trends preferred.
  • Prior catering and hospitality/food culinary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all menu items according to Air Culinaire preparation methods while maintaining Air Culinaire Standards.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner in the kitchen and at client locations.
  • Work with the Culinary Team based on specifications associated with client orders.
  • Verify that food quality and specifications match kitchen issued specifications in ACES.
  • Prioritize food production orders and ensure quality assurance.
  • Assist in the butchering of meats and fish and daily kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitized kitchen by setting sanitizer stations and monitoring temperature logs.
  • Use preventative maintenance with all kitchen equipment.
