About The Position

Mystic Café isn't your typical restaurant. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the week alongside quality espresso, fine wines, local art, and live music. Our customers enjoy the vintage dining atmosphere with our locally sourced and artisan meals. Mystic’s team members are excited to serve our customers, and many of our team members move up to become trainers, supervisors, and even managers. We are currently seeking a motivated Prep Cook to join our dynamic and professional culinary team. Requirements

  • Prior experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel that is culinary and hospitality driven
  • If you lack experience but are motivated and teachable, we would still love to talk to see if you are a good fit for our team!
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to uncompromising quality
  • A team-oriented approach and a calm demeanor during time-sensitive tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully

  • Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance

  • Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of all types of food items while following recipes
  • Work as a team player
  • Assist in cleaning the whole kitchen area, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage area
  • Advise supervisor of kitchen equipment repair or replacement
  • Properly utilize, store, and label cooked food and food items
  • Check computer printout for menu amounts and recipes. Report any discrepancies to supervisor. Submit food usage report to supervisor.
  • Any other related kitchen duties as assigned by a supervisor.
