Prep Cook - Part Time - Port St. Lucie, FL We are currently hiring for a Prep Cook who will be responsible for food preparation associated with ala carte and banquet services. In addition, the Prep Cook is responsible for the preparation of outside services’ products as well as washing and sanitizing pots, dishes, utensils, carts by either mechanical washing or hand washing; stacking plates; and sorting and polishing silver as needed.   • Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and training.

  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds required on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain extreme sanitary conditions by thoroughly cleaning work areas on a daily basis.
  • Prepare food products to specification/recipe, ensuring accuracy and freshness for ala carte or banquet production.
  • Help in the preparation and production of banquet events.
  • Assist the line in stocking and finishing of products.
  • Receive, stock, store, and transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Clean all kitchen areas to include stainless and surface tops and shelves including walls in kitchen areas.
  • Clean equipment and floors and assist in dishwashing as needed.
  • Remove trash and garbage and places into designated receptacles.
  • Steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
  • Attend in-service training and educational seminars as assigned.
