About The Position

In today's culinary world, perfection and execution is key. Parkwest Casino is searching for an exceptional and talented Prep Cook. The Prep Cook will assist the back of the house in the preparation of all menu items. The right candidate will help us provide guests with the most outstanding food experience. Requirements

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Open availability.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check.
• Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
• Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
• Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
• Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
• Extensive knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• Equipped with excellent knife skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the back of the house in the preparation of all menu items.
• Be flexible and able to take direction.
• Finish projects and preps on a daily basis.
• Work with others as a team player in a small confined space.
• Ability to promote positive interactions with guests through sincere greeting and communications.
